Our Wedding Registry

Well, its only one month to the wedding now!
We've already been asked quite a lot, 'so what can we give you as a wedding gift'. Considering we'll be in Argentina just a couple of days, and we'll have to fly back to San Francisco with pretty much the same ammount of luggage that we'll have on the way there, we won't have much space for any extras. So Please, do not give us anything to bring home in Argentina. If you really want to help us, here we just created in amazon a Wedding Registry where you can pick up anything, and get it sent to Marcos' office in San Francisco, where there will allways be someone receiving the packages.

Laurita in San Francisco

A couple of days ago we had the pleasure to have my mother, Laurita, hanging out with us here in San Francisco. Together with Yumi they went around the whole city by bus, and every night we'll have a party at home with wines, whisky, vodka, sakes and beers where we'll all end up in pretty interesting dancing marathons. Well, acutually more than dancing marathon it was tuning into Youtube and dance all night to Nancy Sinatra's "This Boots are made for walking".

Wedding day, December 26 is approaching fast. For all of us who are going to be traveling to Argentina we are on the limit to get our tickets. Unfortunately the general state of the economy is not the best these days and plane tickets for December are not cheap, but if you are really planning to go, the time to get your ticket is now! We have until November 1st to finalize the list of everyone who will be attending the ceremony, so in the following days make sure to go through your numbers and tell us if you are going to be able to make it or not!

Unfortunatelly, all LAN Chile International flights from Santiago de Chile to Rosario where canceled a couple of weeks ago.
For that reason, everyone who is coming to the wedding from outside of the country will have to use Buenos Aires Int. Airport.
Don't worry, we have a plan! We'll be arriving to Buenos Aires on December 19th, stay in a hotel and wait there for 3 days for everyone to arrive. On December 23rd we'll all then take a charter bus from Buenos Aires to Rosario. I'll make a better post about these plans later. In the meantime I thought it'd be good to let you all know that:

1: You will have to fly to Buenos Aires Airport
2: If you want a tiny tour of Buenos Aires, and ride our comfy charter bus from Buenos Aires to Rosario, you should arrive to Buenos Aires between dec. 19th, and dec 22nd.

Tour of Argentina

As we are listening to everyone's schedule, we are now thinking about doing the tour of Argentina between December 29th and January 2nd or 3rd. Of course we are thinking about spending the new year's in a special location, but the truth is there's so many places we'd like to take you that we are having a hard time making a decision!

spanish: Hasta mañana

In japanese Ashita, means 'tomorrow', in Spanish it sounds like 'hasta', or 'until'. So the rule to learn it is:
mata ashita mañana
and there you go, you are now talking japanish!

Today's spanish lesson is:

Como va?
How is it going?

When I first met Marcos' grandma Elenita, she said to me:
-'Konban wa!'(Japanese for 'Good night')
And I thought, wow! she really learned japanese for me!
Many days later, Marcos finally told me that what she had said, was in spanish.

'Como va', when you say it fast enough it sounds like 'Konban wa'!

Why are the Comments so messed up

You probably already noticed here the comments are really messed up. So to keep communication flowing across languages I thought it'd be a good idea to automatically translate all your posts.

That means, if you post a comment on the english version, in english, it will get automatically translated to spanish and japanese. It won't be perfect, for sures, but hey, at least we can all get an idea of what you where saying!

Yeah, this is more of an experiment than anything else, and again, I don't expect it to be 100% accurate.

So don't be shy, post some comments!
